A Fine Mondo commission does not begin with a brief. It begins with a letter — written by you, or by an advisor acting on your behalf — and answered, within seventy-two hours, by one of the founding partners.
That first exchange is unhurried and unscripted. There are no intake forms, no qualifying questionnaires, and no sample boards dispatched before a conversation has taken place. The studio is deliberately small enough that the first person you write to will be the same person who walks the site, signs the drawings, and signs off the installation, fourteen months later.
What follows the first letter is a private meeting — held in Milan, London, New York, Dubai, or at the residence itself if travel is preferable. No drawings are produced from this meeting; no estimates are issued. Its only purpose is to determine whether a commission is the right undertaking for both parties, and to establish the pace, the residence, and the people the work will serve.
By the close of this first conversation you will have met the principal who will carry the project, agreed on a meeting at the residence, and received a short written note summarising what was heard. Nothing more is asked of you until you choose to continue.
